Willowy Monardella

(Monardella viminea)

This perennial is a member of the mint family, and native to California. Listed by both the state of California and the Federal Government as 'endangered', the plant grows in sandy washes close to coastal hills within chaparral communities. A pollinator, its inflorescence consists of a cornea of pink flowers.
