Western Bluebird

(Sialia mexicana)

This small thrush has been pushed out of its natural habitat, but has adapted itself to a broad range of environments, including farmlands, desert, and coniferous forests. They can be easily distinguished from other bluebirds by their blue or gray throats. They are stockily-built, with a thin beak and a short tail.
