Thread-leaved Brodiaea

(Brodiaea filifolia)

This perennial herb is listed by both the state of California and the Federal Government as 'threatened'. It can be found in vernal pool habitat in grassland, woodland, wetland-riparian and coastal scrub communities. The bloom consists of a delicate lavender flower with violet-striped petals, of which here are six.
