San Diego Goldenstar

(Bloomeria clevelandii)

This perennial herb is a rare species native to San Diego County and Baja California. Its habitat is comprised of a strip of scrub and grassland adjacent to the coastline. The plant consists of an inflorescence growing up from the ground, with multitudes of yellow green flowers atop pedicels.
