Orcutt's Hazardia

(Hazardia orcuttii)

This flowering is native to California and Baja, but can only be found stateside in the city of Encinitas. It grows in chaparral and coastal sage scrub. The adult shrub will grow up to about 3 feet in height, with resinous, leathery leaves and a turbinate flower head.
