Least Bell's Vireo

(Vireo bellii pusillus)

This subspecies of songbird is is listed by both the state of California and the Federal Government as 'endangered'. Only found in southern California, the bird grows to about 5 inches in length, with light olive-gray plumage and a white underside. It also has a light white eye ring and matching wing bars.
