Laurel Sumac

Malomsa laurina is a singular plant genus which can be found along the Pacific coast. This large evergreen can grow up to 15 feet tall at maturity. The leaves are similar to those of a true laurel in shape and size: lance-shaped, with reddish tips and attaching stems. The plant contains volatile compounds which make it highly flammable. The bloom consists of clusters of tiny white flowers.
