House Sparrow

Passer domesticus is a sparrow with a very large distribution across the world. The bird will grow up to 6.5 inches in length and barely 1.4 ounces in weight at adulthood. Dimorphic, males sport bright white, black, and brown markings whereas the females are pale brown or grey. The House Sparrow is so named because it prefers human habitats, including urban settings, as opposed to environments away from such development.
