Coyote Brush


Baccharis pilularis is a shrub with a range extending from Oregon south to Baja and east to New Mexico. Growing to about 10 feet in height, this sticky plant has spreading branches with long, toothed leaves. The inflorescence consists of multiple-flowered heads surrounded by a leafy panicle. Coyote Brush can be found in a variety of habitats, from oak woodlands and grasslands to hillsides, coastal bluff and canyon habitats.
