Common Yellowthroat (M)

Geothlypis trichas is largely resident in Southern California, though migratory elsewhere in colder regions. This small songbird has similar coloring between the sexes, the variable being a black face mask bordered by white or grey, sported by the adult male. There are 13 races of Yellowthroat altogether, the southwestern forms being the brightest yellow of them all.
