California Thrasher

Toxostoma redivivum is a thrasher found mostly within chaparral scrub habitats in Southern and Baja California. Averaging one foot in length and weighing nearly 3 ounces, it is the largest of its species. Generally brown with a buff underside, the bird has a dark cheek pattern and eye-ring.
