Cactus Wren

Campylorhynchus brunneicapillus can be found from the Southwestern US to Central Mexico. The largest North America wren, averaging between 7-9 inches long, it is easily spotted. Brown-to-light-brown, the bird has a white eyestripe, barred wings and spotted tail feathers. It prefers arid habitats, as it nests in cactus plants, and can be found around yuccas, saguaros, and mesquite.
